Collaboration with Organizations

The Poetry Contest

A student broadside poetry contest was included in the 2015 King Library Press Seminar.  The contest was a collaboration between the King Library Press and UK Department of English’s Master of Fine Arts Creative Writing Program.   The contest winners' poems were printed and featured in the exhibit “Verse in Type:  Poets & Printers, an Artistic Affinity.”   The undergraduate winner was Kelsey Potter with “I Am Their Vessel.”  Robin LaMer Rahija was the graduate winner with “Our Melanchony Fates.”   The poems were printed in Times New Roman typeface with a simple layout.  The title and colophon are in Russet red, a signature of the King Library Press.
